![]() It is the largest and also most popular of the three casinos that belong to the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians. Seven Clans Casino – Thief River Falls, owned and operated by Red Lake Nation, is located in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. Jump To: Gallery | Overview | Gaming | Promotions & Events | Hotel | Dining | Map | Amenities | Special Offers | Area Attractions We travel a lot, have been to hundreds of hotels in many different cities and have never encountered noise as loud or for as long as we did at Seven Clans.Seven Clans Casino – Thief River Falls Review Guide I would not go back again to stay overnight. The water park looked great but we didn't attend. The casino was fine, a little smoky but it didn't seem any smokier than Vegas casinos. We decided to move hotels rather than try and deal with that level of noise another night. We did our best to sleep but the noise continued (like at one point we thought someone was going to break through the ceiling) until 5 am. We got a very dismissive 'I GUESS we could have security go up'. We waited until about 1 am and called down to the front desk to complain. It sounded like people were moving furniture and jumping around. We got back from Red Lake Falls at 12:30 am and noticed right away a lot of noise above us, a LOT. We knew it was a dry hotel coming in, didn't bother us as I am 7 months pregnant anyway and we assumed it would be a nice quiet family place. ![]() Food was decent, service was slow comsidering there were two staff and two tables at the time we ate. We went for dinner at the diner off the casino. Room was clean but definitely could use some updating. We had a non smoking room but the bathroom was quite smoky smelling (maybe it was coming through the fan). The room was okay, very large but it looked like it was maybe missing some furniture (couch or chairs). Check in was decent, the first gentleman we dealt with told us to go get a players card at the casino and we would get 10% off our stay. We booked to stay for two nights one weekend as we were meeting friends nearby at Red Lake Falls for some tubing. The shopping is great and only about 7 miles away.Overall this is a great place to stay and we always look forward to going back. The staff are not very friendly at the hotel and casino. The casino is very clean but it is a dry casino which means there is no alcohol sold there and you are not allowed to bring any in. There is also a water park there which havent tried but there is an extra charge for this even if you are a guest at the hotel. We always order off the menue as that seems to offer more choice and the food tastes better. There is also a restaurant upstairs that offers a buffet. The have a 50s style diner called the malt shop just off the casino. It seems like the more you use the complimentary room coupons they send you the least attractive the rooms get. It looked like it was really outdated with an old style t.v. The last couple of times we have been there the room hasnt been so nice. This thing that bothers us though is that when we first started to get the complimentary room it was beautiful, looked something like a log cabin and was a huge room with a big t.v., microwave, fridge and table and chairs and a balcony. Get yourself a players club card and you will get complimentary rooms and free slot play. It is a great place to do some shopping and gambling. My Husband and I stay at Seven clans at least twice a year. actually we were so pleased at the service everywhere.very nice gift shop too. ![]() ![]() tea etc.and the people at the customer rewards desk are to be appreciated. but it was a very friendly casino.liked the selection of free drinks and coffee. ![]() We loved the casino.very clean.the smell of smoke is not as bad as other casino's.perhaps a better filtration system.so pretty comfy.some of us won and some didn't. we enjoyed the small one on the casino floor. portions are so large and the prices very rvice was fast and friendly. The restaurants were very well presented.and the staff were ever so friendly. This is a dry casino, so no alcohol on site. We didn't use the pool but it looked absolutely fabulous.clean and easy to find ammenities. everything was very clean and that includes the bedding and mattress etc.well vacuumed rugs and we enjoyed the availability of a coffee maker and microwave, if we needed it. Our rooms were pretty basic and even though the tub and sink were pretty worn and outdated. We enjoyed our stay at the Seven Clans Casino and would definitely make a return visit. The entire Resort was clean and well taken care of. ![]()
